Time Tracking

Time Tracking

Time Tracking or Time and Attendance are used by companies of all sizes to record working hours of employees primarily in order to pay their wages. Most time tracking systems have similar drawbacks to those outlined for door entry systems: Erroneous data can be created through accident to employees trying purposely to fool the system. MadokaID can minimise some of these problems by combining access control and time tracking technologies.

Forgetful Employees

Forgetful employees and lost cards are the bane of a manager’s job, they cause additional work where none should be necessary. By integrating both time tracking and access control an employee has to “tailgate” another employee to mislead the system. Tailgating can be performed by accident but observing the staff member they are tailgating sign in would be an aide-mémoire and so they would clock-in as their colleague did.

Intentional Misuse

Friends clocking in for each other if they have had a night on the town are another source of unnecessary management time. Using a fingerprint to stop sharing of ID cards or punching of other’s clock card goes some way to solving this (it is rather difficult to lend your friend a finger). Benefits to Managers

Besides the benefits outlined above the system can produce a document that can be used in popular software packages to save significant time on payroll calculations.
